Reminiscing About Past Travel [And an old YouTube Video!]
I feel like I’ve said this a few too many times, but wow, the world has changed in the last two months, and not for the better. Instead of touching up last-minute plans for an epic summer of 2020 (to top Summer 2019) with the Olympics, Euro 2020, Georgia and the Pyramids, I’m on hold just like the rest of the world.
With that being said, I was going through some of my pictures from previous trips, including from my time living in Cambridge, England, and reminiscing on some of my travels. I spent the full year teaching in England and made many memories. Some of my travels included trips to Ireland, Sweden, France, Belgium, Portugal, India, Sri Lanka and more adventures that I’ll cover over the next few months. The best part is that I just remembered that I had documented my travels with a video, maybe it’s something that I should do again in the future, as it’s a pretty fun 3-minute video.
Distant Points in the COVID era
Although I won’t be travelling in the near future, I’m going to reminisce about some of my earlier travel days and give some suggestions I have once this period of physical distancing is over. I’ve been to 58 countries and I have lots of stories that I want to share!
2015 - 2016 Year Abroad in Pictures
I spent time in India, one of the most fascinating countries in the world, on a shoestring budget. (I wish I was into Points and Miles back then, there are some great points hotels available)
I also travelled extensively around the Balkans - which are great low key travel destinations that are less busy versions of Greece and Italy.
I was also lucky enough to ski in the French Alps
I can’t wait to share some of my experiences that will hopefully help you plan your post-COVID trips!
