Singapore Airlines is Bookable with Aeroplan Again!

Singapore Airlines is Bookable with Aeroplan Again!

So, I was just helping a client book a flight to India, and look what I found, flights on Singapore Airlines again! Air Canada Aeroplan members haven’t been able to book flights on Singapore Airlines since mid-2020. While this is good news, and there is a lot of inventory, it appears that only Economy is bookable. Furthermore, United still doesn’t have access to these seats. Let’s take a look at what’s available for booking using Aeroplan.

Using Aeroplan on Singapore Airline

The flight that I was looking at was from Singapore to Bangkok. It looks like there is a lot of space in Economy.

It’s weird that there are no Business flights available. I also decided to look at United, which still doesn’t show Singapore Airlines availability.

With no business availability, I wanted to look at another mid-distance market, Delhi. Interestingly enough, lots of Thai availability on United, but no Singapore Airlines.

Aeroplan shows Singapore Airlines flights, but nothing in Business Class. There are plenty of economy flights loaded in, with connections in Hydrabad, Kolkata and Chennai with the long distance flight on Singapore Airlines showing up. With it appearing likely that no business flights would show up, I decided to test the new Canadian route, Singapore to Vancouver. Good news is that they’ve loaded Economy availability until at least mid March, bad news is that there is no business class.

The seasonal route that Singapore Airlines is offering between Singapore and Vancouver appears to not be loaded for next year or the summer, although they’re selling the flight until October of next year.

For those of you looking to experience round the world flights, using Singapore Airlines even as a placeholder for now isn’t a terrible idea, hoping you can upgrade later in the year if seats become available. I had them booked for my first epic round the world trip that I booked (the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal on back to back days) and the second round the world trip. For those of you looking to fly to Singapore from Toronto or any Star Alliance hub on the cheap, Singapore Airlines provides lots of connecting options in Europe now.

The Point.

It appears Singapore Airlines is back for Aeroplan users! That said, we’re still waiting to see if business class tickets will eventually show up in the inventory, or if Singapore Airlines is going to hold back inventory for their members.
